Headlining the Capital Home & Garden Show, Feb 22-24, will be Justin Cave from HGTV’s Ground Breakers, an avid outdoorsman who turned his love of nature into a career installing landscape and garden designs. His Capital Home and Garden Show presentations will address two topics: “Top 10 Ways to Upgrade Your Outdoor Space” and “Ideas for Low Cost Gardening”.

7 Questions for J.C.

1. What was your first job?
My first job was when I was 14. It was a summer job and I had to plant and tend large annual beds all summer long!

How were you discovered?
I started doing television from working at a Home and Garden Show...A producer approached me and the rest is history!

2. Most memorable career moment to date?
Doing Good Morning America in NYC was great! We installed a lawn in Rockefeller Plaza!

3. What famous figure(s) inspires your career?
I have to tell you that Justin Timberlake is an ace! He actually owns one of the only sustainable, eco-friendly golf courses in America in his home state of Tennessee

4. If you weren’t in your current occupation, what would be your dream job?
Simple...Freelance outdoor style and travel editor/photographer on assignment!

5. What is your favorite TV show at the moment?
I am a big fan of Duck Dynasty! I also like "Mega Dens" on DIY

6. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I have ever been given is "be yourself!" and if you’re 15 minutes early you’re on time, if you’re on’re late!

7. Do you have an organizational tip you can share with us?
Being organized is a lot like yard work...If you can do some regular maintenance it will be more manageable! And when it comes to gardens, they are always a work in progress
